On February 1, 2026 (local time in Qatar), the world’s first large luxury cruise ship to achieve net-zero emissions using bio-liquefied natural gas (Bio-LNG)—MSC Euribia—called at the Doha Cruise Terminal. The vessel is equipped with two 1,800-m³ LNG fuel tanks designed, manufactured, and delivered in 2021 by Zhangjiagang Furui CIT Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of Zhangjiagang Furui Special Equipment Co., Ltd. (stock code: 300228), providing critical power support for its green navigation.

As the first LNG-powered cruise ship of MSC’s “Meraviglia-Plus” class, MSC Euribia has a full-load displacement of 183,500 tons and can carry more than 6,000 passengers and over 1,700 crew members. Its advanced LNG propulsion system, marks a milestone step toward the shipping industry’s goal of “zero emissions.”
Furui CIT completed delivery of the ship’s fuel tanks as early as 2021, having previously supplied similar equipment for the world’s largest luxury cruise ship, MSC World Europa. To date, the company has secured follow-on orders from multiple international ship owners, including MSC and Royal Caribbean, continuing to drive Chinese high-end cryogenic equipment manufacturing onto the global stage.

On June 7, 2023, the LNG bunkering vessel Coralius, operated by Gasum, carried out the first “net-zero” Bio-LNG bunkering for MSC’s Euribia, enabling the world’s first net-zero voyage by a large luxury cruise ship. The 5,800-m³ LNG cargo tanks on the bunkering vessel, together with Euribia’s twin fuel tanks, were all supplied by Furui CIT.
LNG fuel can significantly reduce emissions of sulfur oxides (SOx), nitrogen oxides (NOx), and particulate matter, providing a critical pathway for global shipping de-carbonization. Leveraging its leading manufacturing technologies and service capabilities, Furui CIT is accelerating the green transformation of the international cruise industry.
