After three years of hard work and careful refinement, a big milestone is here! As of December22, 2025, the MSC Explora luxury cruise ship project, built with great effort by Furui Group's subsidiary Furui CIT, has reached its final stage — the 6334 vessel’s LNG fuel tanks (2×600m³ + 1×245m³) are fully completed and delivered！
From the order placed to the finish of total 12 fuel tanks across four vessels (6321, 6322, 6333, 6334), Furui CIT has stayed true to its original goal with solid craftsmanship and solved problems through technology over the three years. Furui CIT successfully finished this important long-term project, which strengthens the leading position in LNG fuel tanks for luxury cruise ships.
As the last set of the MSC Explora series, the 6334 vessel’s fuel tanks are very meaningful. The MSC Explora cruise ships are known as the "crown jewels of the industry" — their LNG fuel tanks need high technical skills and strict quality standards. As the only manufacturer of all four vessel sets’ fuel tanks for this series, Furui CIT has followed the idea of "striving for better and pursuing excellence" since the project started, and worked hard to overcome all difficulties.
Facing challenges in mass production like technical coordination, precision control and schedule management, the Furui CIT team worked together as one: from precise processing of key parts to assembling the whole fuel tanks, from improving production processes to strictly checking quality — every step shows the team’s skill and wisdom. With rich industry experience and continuous technical upgrades, Furui CIT not only ensured each set of fuel tanks is high-quality, but also supported the overall construction progress of MSC’s cruise ships. The previously delivered 6321, 6322 and 6333 vessel sets all got high praise from the client. Notably, the three fuel tanks of the 6333 have been installed on the Explora III, the third ship of the Explora Adventure Class under MSC Cruises’ premium cruise brand. As the first LNG-powered luxury cruise ship in the MSC Explora series, it will set sail for the first time from Genoa, Italy in the summer of 2026, bringing passengers a luxurious sea journey powered by clean energy.
Looking back at the three-year journey, every key date tells a story of persistence and progress:
·December 9, 2023: 6321 delivered successfully — the first solid step of the project;
·May 24, 2024: 6322 finished smoothly — pushing the project forward steadily;
·May 27, 2025: 6333 delivered perfectly — getting closer to the final goal;
·December 19,2025: 6334 completed and delivered — marking Furui CIT’s success in making all four sets of LNG fuel tanks for the MSC Explora series.
This great milestone not only shows Furui CIT’s strong ability in LNG fuel tank manufacturing, but also builds a mature mass production and service system. It provides useful experience for similar projects in the industry.
